The traditional Quincy 2021, classic, fragrant, with a delicate and harmonious mouthfeel, is all in finesse, well marked by its terroir, combining suppleness and liveliness.
we continue with their Châteaumeillant rosé 2021, seductive, with this nose of fresh flowers, combining nervousness and roundness on the palate. There is also Châteaumeillant Rouge Folie Douce 2020, with an intense ruby color, a nose of ripe red fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry), ripe tannins, both powerful and supple, with a tasty mouthfeel.

“Bruno Lecomte embarked on viticulture in 1995 by buying 1.5 ha of vines in the Quincy appellation. In the meantime, his son Nicolas joined him in 2006 on a vineyard now covering 13 ha, including 3 ha in Châteaumeillant. Since January 2018, the latter is now alone at the controls.

“In the guide with this pleasant Quincy Génération 1 2019, 100% Sauvignon, old vines, fermentation and aging in barrels, with a floral mouthfeel and a very nice finish, harmonious, with a dominant of apricot and lily, a fragrant finish. The Quincy Traditionnel 2020, 100% Sauvignon, predominantly white flowers and almonds, has a beautiful aromatic persistence, it is typical, a wine combining elegance and structure. The Quincy Blanc Vieilles Vignes 2020 is intense on the nose and on the palate, charming with notes of dried fruits and ripe citrus fruits, very slightly peppery, a wine of character to lead to frog legs or tarama and blinis à la wheat flours.
We end on this range of Châteaumeillant, with the red Folie Douce 2019, 100% Gamay, 70-year-old vines, aged in barrels for 11 months, with ripe tannins, it is full-bodied, with this nose of overripe fruits and humus, on the palate, a nice classic wine. The 2020 rosé is well made, with a pretty color that calls for gluttony. We end with the 2020 red, purple in color, with nuances of forest fruits and violets, structured, ideal with Lyon-style veal liver or rabbit. »
